Reading from the second chapter of the book of Colossians, Pastor Chris identifies for us four competing versions of “truth” that sow confusion in our society, detracting from the real truth of the Gospel. In Paul’s letter, he identifies the distractions created through misplaced human philosophy, through confusion regarding Jewish law, through false spirituality practices, and through adding legalism to Christian beliefs. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 teaches us how to counter this confusion: “Test everything; hold on to the good.”
