Thank you for joining us this Christmas Eve! Being such a popular holiday, most people know the “what,” “when,” “where,” and “who” of Christmas, but the most important question to ask is “why?” Why did God send His only son Jesus to be the baby in the manger, the preacher on the hillside, and the man who was executed on a cross and rose again, defeating death?

One reason why is seen in the meaning of the name Jesus: “he saves.” Jesus came to be the Savior for everyone. Another reason why is seen in the meaning of the name Emmanuel: “God with us.” God demonstrated in the person of Jesus that there is nothing that God wouldn’t do to reach every one of us with grace and love. On this Christmas Eve, open up and accept God’s amazing gift of love!
