Pastor Chris continues our series “God’s Story, Your Story” by guiding us to understand the profound grace in God’s offer of redemption to us. Through sin in the Garden of Eden, death came into our world and enslaved us. We are not capable of buying our release from death, but Jesus Christ has redeemed each of us from death. The Hebrew word we translate as “redemption” literally translates as “to buy back.” In this redemption, we receive forgiveness for our sins, restoration of our relationship with God, and security in our future after this earthly life.
