In biblical times, shepherds would allow their sheep to graze during the day, then find a safe place, like a cave, for the sheep to stay at night when predators hunted. The shepherd would stay at the mouth of the cave overnight, using himself as the door to the cave, to ensure that the sheep did not wander off and that no wolves could enter the cave. In today’s passage, Jesus assured us that He is our door, and Pastor Chris teaches us the wonder and the blessings we receive through this promise from Jesus.
